Петропавловская церковь

Проект А. И. Лангера, византийский стиль. Главный престол освящен в 1911 г., приделы (южный во имя Святого Иоанна Предтечи, северный в честь Рождества Пресвятой Богородицы) – в 1913 г. Службы прекращены в 1938 г., а в 1940 г. здесь размещалось зернохранилище спиртзавода. Богослужения возобновлены в 1945 г. Особенностью храма является его своеобразный декор и деталировка, выполненные из красного лицевого кирпича и желтого песчаника.
Фасад здания украшен терракотовой плиткой. В церкви находится лучший в Томске резной иконостас в стиле барокко. В собрании икон церкви: икона Святых апостолов Петра и Павла с частицами их мощей; местночтимый чудотворный образ Святого Николая Мирликийского, уцелевший после страшного пожара ночью 19 января 1986 г. Пожар к утру погас сам собой, дойдя до иконы. Следы пожара можно увидеть и сегодня на обугленной раме иконы. После спасения икону стали почитать чудотворной.
Также здесь находится икона Знамения Божией Матери работы известных томских иконописцев XX в. И. Панкрышева и С. Вепрева. Западная стена центрального храма расписана сценами Страшного Суда.
Петропавловская церковь дважды (1991 г., 2002 г.) принимала Всероссийского Патриарха Алексия II.

This church is in Byzantine style, constructed by architect A. I. Langer. The main altar was consecrated in 1911, the side-altars (the southern of Holy John the Baptist and the northern of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary) were consecrated in 1913. The divine services stopped in 1938, and in 1940 there was a grain warehouse of the distillery. The divine services began again in 1945. The peculiarity of this church is the décor and detailing which are made of red face brick and yellow sandstone. The front of the building is decorated with terracotta tiles. The best baroque carved iconostasis in Tomsk is in this church. There are such icons in this church as the icon of Saints Peter and Paul with the particles of the relics, the locally miraculous image of St. Nicholas of Myra, which was spared by huge fire in the night on January 19, 1986. The fire went out by the morning having reached the icon. The signs of this fire can be seen on the adust frame of the icon. After its survival the icon was considered to be miracle-working.
There is also an icon of Signs of the God Mother made by famous Tomsk icon painters of the 20th century, I. Pankryshev and S. Veprev. The western wall of the central temple is painted with the scenes of Day of Judgment.
